Returns and Refunds Policy

This policy explains how long you have to change your mind, what condition a return needs to be in, how to send one back, who pays for what, and how quickly your money comes back. It applies to every order placed on this website.

1. Your Return Window

You have 30 days from the day your order arrives to change your mind.

The 30 days run from delivery, not from the day you ordered, so a slow delivery does not eat into your time to decide. You do not need to give a reason.

This window is our own, offered on top of your statutory rights under UK consumer law. It never limits or replaces those rights, which are set out in section 13 below.

2. No Restocking Fee

We do not charge a restocking fee, a handling fee or an administration fee on any return. There is no cost to us processing your return, so there is no cost to you.

3. Condition of Returned Items

To be accepted, a returned piece needs to be:

  • Unworn, other than trying it on.
  • Unwashed and free of marks, make-up, deodorant, fake tan and perfume.
  • Undamaged, with no alterations, no pulled threads and no pet hair.
  • With all original tags still attached as they were when it reached you.

Try a piece on the way you would in a fitting room: over clean, dry skin, without shoes on the fabric, and before you cut a single tag off.

4. Items We Cannot Accept

We cannot accept a return where:

  • The tags have been removed or cut off.
  • The piece has been worn beyond trying it on, washed, altered or repaired.
  • The piece carries marks, odours or damage that were not there when it left us.
  • An item was sealed for hygiene reasons and that seal has been broken.
  • The 30 day window has passed.

If a return reaches us in a condition we cannot accept, we will contact you before doing anything with it, and we will send it back to you at no cost rather than dispose of it quietly.

5. How to Start a Return

  • 1. Email us at support@miranda-apparel.com within your 30 day window. Include your order number and tell us which piece is going back.
  • 2. Wait for our reply, which comes within one business day. It contains the return address for your order and everything you need to send it.
  • 3. Pack the piece with its tags attached, ideally in the packaging it arrived in or another sealed bag that will survive the trip.
  • 4. Send it with tracking. Keep the tracking number until your refund lands.
  • 5. We inspect and refund. Once your return arrives and passes the condition check, we process the refund.

6. Why the Return Address Is Not Printed Here

We give the return address per order rather than publishing one. It lets us route your parcel to wherever it is handled fastest, and it means every return that reaches us can be matched to an order immediately instead of sitting unclaimed while somebody works out whose it is.

It costs you one email and it is the reason returns here do not go missing. Please do not send a return to our business address without contacting us first.

7. Who Pays for Return Postage

Reason for the return Who pays the postage
You changed your mind, the fit is not right, it is not what you pictured You do
The piece is faulty or damaged We do
You received the wrong piece, size or colour We do
The parcel arrived damaged in transit We do

Where we pay, we tell you how to send it back at our cost when you contact us. Do not pay for return postage on a faulty item and hope to be reimbursed later.

Please use a service with tracking in every case. Until the parcel reaches us it is still in your name, and tracking is the only thing that settles where a lost return went.

8. When You Get Your Refund

We process your refund within 5 business days of your return arriving with us.

Your bank or card provider then decides how quickly it appears on your statement. That step is out of our hands and commonly adds a few business days. If it has been more than 10 business days since we told you the refund was processed and you still cannot see it, contact your bank first and then us.

9. How Refunds Are Issued

Refunds always go back to the original payment method. We cannot redirect a refund to a different card, a different account or a store credit unless you ask us for one.

You receive the full price you paid for the piece. Original shipping is not deducted, because we did not charge you any.

10. Exchanges

We do not run a formal exchange process, and that is deliberate rather than a gap. Return the piece for a refund and place a new order for the size or colour you want.

It reaches you faster that way: the new piece ships straight away instead of waiting for your return to travel back to us, be checked in and then be sent out again. It also means the size you want is secured now rather than held loosely for a week.

11. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If a piece arrives faulty, damaged or is not what you ordered, contact us with your order number and a photo of the problem. We will put it right with a replacement or a full refund, whichever you prefer, and we pay the return postage.

This is not a discretionary favour. Where goods are faulty you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that sit above this policy, and they are set out below.

12. Cancelling an Order Before Dispatch

If your order has not been dispatched yet, email us with your order number and we will cancel it and refund you in full. Because we dispatch within 1 to 2 business days, this window is short, so contact us as soon as you know.

Once the parcel is on its way, we can no longer cancel it on our side. That does not take anything away from you: your 14 day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (set out in section 13) still applies, and once the parcel reaches you it can be handled as a return under this policy.

13. Your Rights Under UK Consumer Law

Two sets of UK consumer law sit above everything in this policy, and nothing here limits, excludes or modifies them.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the goods you receive must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If an item is faulty, you have a short-term right to reject it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. After those first 30 days you are entitled to a repair or replacement in the first instance, and to a price reduction or a final right to reject if a repair or replacement fails, is not possible within a reasonable time, or causes you significant inconvenience.

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a legal right to cancel your online order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive the goods, and a further 14 days from telling us about the cancellation to send the goods back.

Where this policy gives you more than the law requires, such as 30 days to change your mind for any reason at all, that is in addition to your legal rights and not a substitute for them.
